Enter Your Story to be Published in Our Blog!

Have a captivating story that you want to share with the world?

This month we are doing a call for all wanderlusters and storytellers for a chance to be published on the November Issue of our blog!

We need your help to create a positive impact. We are seeking to publish 11 heart warming, life changing, incredible stories that capture the human experience and what it is to be alive. We understand the importance of stories and how they shape the world as we experience it and know that each story will have an impact on generations to come just by reaching one person. Your story can inspire others to live a great story.

You can share something dear to your heart, an act of kindness, a moment of realization, an experience that made you feel bigger than yourself, a beautiful encounter, something or someone that made you fall in love, or so on. Think about what you would want to leave someone with if you only had one encounter with them. We want to create a fun and impactful read for everyone and we need your help to do it!

Please help us plant seeds of potential in our culture and share your story today!

Also, if you know someone with a great story please share this with them as well!

To enter your story, please follow the guidelines below:

How To Submit

We are accepting work through our email whimsofwanderlust@gmail.com. Please title your email “Short Story” and make sure you’ve completed the required guidelines before submitting. Below we’ve created a easy checklist you can use as a guideline.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for inspiring and moving short stories that you’ve experienced that has radically changed you in the biggest and smallest of ways. These can be stories dear to your heart, an act of kindness, a moment of realization, an experience that made you feel bigger than yourself, a beautiful encounter, something or someone that made you fall in love, or so on. Think about what you would want to leave someone with if you only had one encounter with them. You can write it to be short or more detailed. The way you write it is up to you but please do keep it within an 800 word count maximum as we are publishing many stories and want this to be a fun and impacting short read. There is no minimum word count but please stay within the maximum of 800 words.

Choosing Stories For Publication

We are choosing only 11 stories and will be selecting to fill a wide variety. Please keep this in mind since we are trying to capture a diverse variety of the human experience and will not be accepting all stories submitted if there are already stories within that category. It’s a first come first serve basis so please don’t take any offense if we do not choose to publish your story this time around. We'll be taking the time to read each story submitted and appreciate the effort put into every submission. We will probably be doing another post like this in a few months so you’ll have another chance to share it then.

Please give us a up to a week to be in touch with you after submission. We will be in contact with you once after submission and then once again after the deadline to let you know whether or not we will be publishing your story. Thank you in advance for sharing yourself with us.

Deadline

All entries will be due Friday November 6th. Due to the time we need to edit and prepare submissions for our monthly blog publication, there will be no submissions accepted after the deadline.
